Rolling Stone blindfold

Commencing the performance with blindfold at the top of an ancient moss hill behind Plas Caerdeon in Snowdonia’s National Park, Wales, A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss 1999 was created at the culmination of the Cyfuniad International Artists Workshop, a two-week residency-based event organised by Lin Holland and Becky Shaw, Triangle Arts, UK and hosted by the Liverpool Hope University, involving the particpation of twenty-two artists from many parts of the world.

At the invitation of fellow workshop artist Alan Dunn to respond to his work “Strike” - an installation of miniature hand-made building structures arrayed  in the nooks and crevices of the moss hill, the artist responded with the idea to “destroy it  with [her] body,” a proposition that Dunn instantly agreed to, and which thus saw its development into a blindfolded performance using a fabric remnant leftover from the make-shift apparel worn (as seen here) for the event.
